I’ve been working with Ian Richter for, well, almost five years. That’s a weird thought. In that time he’s been a great collaborator. He’s talented, he’s dedicated, he’s funny, and he plays the hell out of my music.
Just this morning he sent me a message saying “hey, so I tried this piece you wrote for acting alto saxophone on a bari. Sounds kinda good. Here’s a link.” I’m paraphrasing.
But he’s right, is does sound kinda good. So here we are. I hope you enjoy it.
P.s. Ian’s right in his description on the soundcloud page: you probably want to use headphones. Balancing the saxophone parts and the speaking parts in a live recording is always hard for this piece.
