CSU Fullerton is hosting a fascinating festival of new music that incorporates images and text. Performances by Elliott Sharp, the Either/Or ensembles, and Carla Kihlstedt are going to be amazing.
And on Saturday night, February 28th, the festival is screening four hours of films and video art that incorporate words and images along with new music. It’s a fascinating event, right up my artistic alley, and I wish I could be there.
But while I’m sad to be missing the show, I’m pleased to announce that my film, The Seafarer, which is an adaptation of a piece of mine for solo acting cello, will screen as part of the Saturday night event, called the World Electroacoustic Listening Room Project.
If you’re anywhere near Fullerton, and you like Anglo-Saxon poetry and new music, go check it out. Tell ’em I sent you.
